Map of the World in Two Hemispheres Mid-17th Century World Maps of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres Bringing to life a fascinating pair of mid-17th century maps, these exquisite prints depict the Eastern and Western Hemispheres in intricate detail. Though undated, the inclusion of states and treaties on these copperplate engravings suggests a creation date around 1660. Originally hand-coloured to illustrate geographic regions, these maps have been digitally restored in our Lancashire studio, piecing together the original 12 sheets per hemisphere to revive their historical accuracy.Printed and framed using archival-grade methods to ensure they last another 400 years, these beautifully detailed maps are mounted in sustainable wood frames, ready to hang. As with all our prints, every component is hand-cut, printed, and assembled in Britain to create pictures of distinction with minimal carbon footprint.
